Charter Day 2025

The Twinning Association took part in Charter Day in July 2025.  Our stall was designed to  explain what twinning is all about and to interest potential new members.  We had displays of information, photos of previous visits to and from our twin towns and a chance to chat to some of our members.  

There was a lot of interest shown and, as a result, we will be holding a social event for anyone interested in joining our group.  This will take place in September, with the date to be advertised on this website.

The photo shows the incoming Town Cryer, Caroline Kolek, drawing the winning ticket in the raffle.  Caroline is also the Chair of the Twinning Association.

Our Charter Day stall was also visited by the Mayor of Honiton, Cllr Andrew Pearsall. Also pictured is the outgoing Town Cryer, Dave Retter.  Dave has also been a member of our twinning association for many years.

Visitors to the stall were given the opportunity to sample a small amount of Lockstedter.  This is a ginger liqueur which is made by a family owned business in our twin town of Gronau.
