A celebratory dinner in Mezidon.

Our German friends about to explore Beer Caves.
ABOUT US
The concept of twinning arose in the aftermath of the second world war, as a way of bringing together people from towns and villages all across Europe.
The civic link with Mezidon-Canon was formed by Honiton Town Council in 1973, meaning that Honiton and Mezidon became twin towns.
In 1987 we gained a second twin town when we joined with the town of Gronau (Leine) in Germany.
The twinning association was formed as a way of ensuring that these links were maintained by regular visits between twin towns.
Members of the association enjoy regular visits to both Gronau and Mezidon and we are always keen to receive return visits from our twin towns.
Our members meet four times a year to plan activities and events. We get together frequently to enjoy country walks, pub lunches and other social activities.
The formal meetings take place in January, April, July and October. Members pay an annual subscription of £10.
